About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Chef to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, an eye for detail, and experience in managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards, managing inventory, and ensuring the kitchen is compliant with all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
Develop and maintain menus that are innovative and appealing to our customers
Train and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and prep chefs
Ensure that dishes are prepared to the highest standards
Manage inventory and food costs
Ensure that the kitchen is compliant with all health and safety regulations
Manage the preparation and delivery of catering orders

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a restaurant kitchen, with at least 2 years in a management role

  • Experience in menu planning and recipe development

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
